Special Response Tactical Team

The Special Response Team is a group of highly motivated officers with extensive training in the areas of surveillance techniques, marksmenship and firearm operations, negotiation skills, rappelling, tactical entry and physical conditioning. All officers assigned to the unit are volunteers, who are selected for their composure under stress, ability to work in a team setting, and ability to master the many facets of the training.

Formerly a member of the Burlington County Joint Tactical Team, the Medford Township Team now partners with teams from Mount Laurel and Evesham Townships to form the most highly-trained and prepared team in the county. The Special Response Team is prepared to respond to situations, primarily in the three jurisdictions; however, in accordance with mutual aid agreements, the team will respond to requests by surrounding agencies.
